Experience the real African Safari-feeling with this 7 day itinerary travelling through Kenya’s top National parks and conservancy.
The safari begins with an overnight at Nairobi Tented Camp. Situated at the heart of Nairobi National Park, the camp offers the thrill of experiencing camping right at the doorstep of Nairobi.
On the second day drive towards Mount Mont Kenya region. Located on an exclusive game conservancy, which also hosts its own chimpanzee sanctuary, cultural village and educational centre, is the Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp. A sheltered oasis, clustered around a water hole and set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sweetwaters Tented Camp offers a charming blend of under-canvas ambiance and safari luxury. The camp is also host to all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard).
Next stop is Lake Naivasha. Enjoy a boat ride and a nature walk at Crescent Island. This is an excellent way to see wild animals while on foot. The Island is a private game sanctuary, which is home to zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, Vervet monkeys, hares, genet cats, waterbuck and giraffe.
Finally the safari ends in Masai Mara, home to the big five. Discreetly tucked on the edge of the riverine woodlands, is Entim Camp. From the shaded seclusion of this attractively-designed camp, guests can relax in luxury and admire unforgettable views over the Mara River and across expansive plains, with the distant backdrops of undulating escarpments and volcanically-sculpted hills. From the veranda of each tent it is even possible to witness the breathtaking sight of thousands of Wildebeest crossing the river during their annual migration through this vast wilderness area.
