This Safari presents excellent opportunities for experience a completely different country on the other side of the world. Combining Kenya’s arid Samburu savannahs with the lush grasslands of the Maasai Mara this 7-day tour gives you the chance to learn new things as you interact with the local communities of Samburu and Maasai at the same time viewing the ‘big five’. It is also an excellent complement to any beach holiday.
Accommodation on this tour is in luxury and exclusive camps with facilities such as swimming pools, spa treatments and private dining. The distances have been taken care of by short flights enabling you to enjoy as much time as possible in the bush.
Your tour kicks off in the capital for an overnight at Hemingways Nairobi, before heading off into the wilderness. This is a refined contemporary hotel in Nairobi’s tranquil and upscale neighborhood of Karen. It offers a regal and elegant atmosphere, as well as a superb spa and wellness centre.
Then it is off to the Samburu National Reserve where your stay is at Saruni Samburu.
Saruni Samburu is located in Kalama Conservancy, next to the Samburu Game Reserve. Its six luxury eco-chic villas are open facing with breathtaking views over the conservancy and mount kenya that can be appreciated right from your bed! The two infinity pools boasting panoramic views are a welcome place to cool off after a long game drive. Morning and afternoon game drives, guided nature walks, star gazing, night game drives, cultural visits and sundowners are all part of the activities at this very special Camps.
Finally, onto the rolling grasslands of the Maasai Mara and for 3 nights stay at Saruni Mara, an intimate tented lodge set in a private conservation area outside the Masai Mara Game Reserve. With accommodation for only 12 guests in six spectacular tented cottages, it is set in a remote valley at the heart of the most exciting wilderness in Kenya. Saruni runs the Masai Wellbeing Space, a unique feature in the Masai Mara and considered one of the most professional and inspiring beauty Centers in Kenya.

Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi, Kenya
Welcome to Africa! Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by your driver and driven to Hemingways Nairobi, a hotel with a host of special touches just for you and your loved ones. The rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy at your leisure, rest up, and prepare for your exciting safari! Meal plan here is Bed and Breakfast.
The baggage allowance for your flight to the Mara is strictly 15kgs in soft bags inclusive of hand luggage and cameras. We recommend storing your excess luggage at the hotel and we will organize to have it delivered at the airport on your last day from the Mara.
Day 2: Samburu’s Kalama Conservancy
After an early breakfast you will be transferred to the local airstrip to catch your flight to Samburu (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes or longer if routing via Wilson Airport). On arrival you will be met and transferred with game drive enroute to the camp where you will settle in and have lunch then proceed for a late afternoon game drive.

Day 3: Samburu Kalama’s Conservancy
Early morning and late afternoon game drives enable you to see wildlife unique to this arid, yet beautiful part of Kenya. A 30-minute complimentary massage is included during your stay. Despite sharing a vehicle on game package, the camp will do everything to make sure that your ideal structure is met.

Day 4: Maasai Mara’s North Conservancy
This morning you will catch yet another flight to the Maasai Mara. On arrival at the local airstrip, you will be warmly met by a driver guide from Saruni Mara and driven to the camp. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch followed by an afternoon game drive in search of the Big 5. Return to the camp just in time to freshen up for dinner.

Day 5 and 6: Maasai Mara’s North Conservancy
Spend the next 2 days game viewing. Activities are planned and organized by the camp.
Optional activities include a hot air balloon ride which gives you the chance to enjoy the magnificent Mara from an aerial view. The ride is followed by champagne breakfast then you drive back to the camp.

Day 7: Nairobi – Wilson Airport
Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the camp. Depart camp and make your way to the Airstrip. Here you will bid your guide farewell as you board your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport.
On arrival at Wilson Airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home.
